Here are three quick tips for getting the best results with your new Background Blenders: Tip 1 - Hold it right. These brushes are designed to be held with your thumb on top. It might feel a little different at first, but it gives you better control and makes blending easier. Tip 2 - Swirl, don't dab. Swirl your brush on the ink pad to pick up color-this helps prevent harsh lines. A couple of circles on the pad should be enough each time. A little ink goes a long way! Tip 3 - Dab off for seamless blends. Always dab off excess ink over a non-porous surface before blending onto your project. The inside of your ink pad lid, a silicone mat, a piece of acetate, or even a stencil all work great for this. Then blend from the center outward, building up the color gradually for a smooth, even result. To clean your brush between colors, simply swipe it over a paper towel to remove the excess ink. If the bristles start to feel stiff, rinse under warm water with mild soap and lay flat to dry. Avoid using rubbing alcohol-it can dry out the bristles. Set of 4.
